This week has been filled with ups and downs and I am so excited to share what the Lord has been doing here.

The week started with sadness and excitement. The excitement of new experiences like going on a plane for the first time and setting up my tent to live in for a few weeks. The sadness was leaving my family, dog, and the comfort of home but, God has been showing me that He is my true home.

“Yes I am the vine; you are the branches. those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.” John 15:5 God has truly been putting John 15 on my heart and has been telling me to Abide in Him. When we abide in Him we will produce the Good fruit and not become withered branches. God will prune that fruit so we can grow more fruit and give that fruit to the ones who need it. God is so Good!!

Not only has God been working in me but, He also working in those around me and my family back home. The community (my Squad) that I am surrounded by is so beautiful. Everyone has different beliefs and opinions but, there is love and understanding with this community. We are all after the same goal: to grow in Christ and spread the love of Christ to others. Even though they might be far, God is working in my family as well. My parents and younger sister came to the Parent Launch, which is only two days, and I could see the change in them already. I am so excited for the journey God has for them back in Texas!!

My day to day schedule is a little different that most, I wake up to a beautiful, cool morning in my tent with my oh so comfortable blow up sleeping pad. Then I get ready to go to our devotions, go to worship, then go to session. After that we go to our Squad meeting time, this is a time where are able to process the life giving sessions and worship times we are having. Then lunch time, which is the real challenge ,because we could have anything from pizza to tortillas, cucumber, and honey. Even then, the Lord is still Good!! After lunch, if its our laundry day, we can wash our clothes in buckets and hang them out to dry. This process it pretty peaceful, because you could talk to the other people who are doing their laundry as well or talk to the Lord. Then got to other session, eat supper, the we are done for the night. We can take a bucket shower, unless its our shower day (we have scheduled shower times), spend time with community or the Lord, and then go back to my comfortable tent house and got to bed. Even though it isn’t the most comfortable, God is good and He is still working.

This is what the Lord has been doing, and its only been a week. I am so excited for the next nine months!!

May God richly bless each and every leg of your journey . I pray every day brings light into your path and pure vision wrought by the hand of God . Hold your head up and remember who sent you sister , praise him , cherish him and follow him . Remember this one thing , while we are on different sides of the globe we are talking to the same God . He is same God that brought Moses on dry ground through the sea . The same God that inhabited Solomons temple and the same God that sent his only son for you , myself and anyone who will call on his name . Rejoice evermore and let your light shine .
We are consistently praying for you and your forever in our heart and mind .
    Yours in Christ
